تشغيل تطبيقات أندرويد على نظام كروم أو إس Chrome OS ما بين معارض ومؤيد
كشفت شركة غوغل عن إمكانية تشغيل تطبيقات أندرويد على الحواسب العاملة بنظام كروم أو إس Chrome OS. وبدأت هذه الخاصيّة بالوصول منذ فبراير/شباط 2017.
الصحفي والت موسبيرغ Walt Mossberg قام بتجربة هذه الميّزة عند صدورها رسميًا، وقبل صدورها حتى، نظرًا لعلاقته الوطيدة مع مسؤولي الشركات التقنية وتاريخه التقني الطويل.
جرت التجربة على حاسب كروم بوك بلس من سامسونج، وهو حاسب يحمل معالج بمعمارية ARM المُستخدمة في مُعظم معالجات الهواتف الذكية والحواسب اللوحية، وهذا لتشغيل تطبيقات أندرويد دون مشاكل تُذكر.
المشكلة الأساسية كانت في عدم وجود مجموعة كبيرة من التطبيقات لهذا النوع من الحواسب التي تأتي بشاشات كبيرة، 12 بوصة في الحاسب المُستخدم للتجربة، وهذا أمر أدّى إلى ظهورها بشكل غريب، صغير تارة، ومُكبّر بدقّة سيئة تارة أُخرى. كما أن التطبيقات الداعمة لهذه الخاصيّة ما تزال قليلة، وبالتالي لن يصل المستخدم لجميع تطبيقاته بسهولة تامة.
حاول موسبيرغ تشغيل تطبيقين دون فائدة بسبب مشكلة في النظام كانت تؤدي إلى التبديل الآلي بين التطبيقات دون وجود إمكانية لتثبيت الشاشة على تطبيق واحد لاستخدامه. وهو أمر أكّده أحد مُهندسي غوغل في حديث هاتفي مع موسبيرغ نفسه، ذاكرًا أن هذه الثغرة موجودة بالفعل وتقوم الشركة بالعمل عليها. وإضافة لما سبق، كانت الكثير من التطبيقات تتوقّف عن العمل أو الاستجابة دون فهم السبب.
المشكلة كانت، بحسب موسبيرغ، في تطبيقات غوغل التي من المفترض أنها تدعم هذه الميّزة، لكنها كانت تظهر بطريقة غريبة. وهنا الحديث عن تطبيقات على غرار جيميل Gmail. تحويل جهاز سامسونج المُستخدم لحاسب لوحي ممكن، لكن وفي هذه الحالة لا يُمكن فتح أكثر من تطبيق في نفس الوقت، ويحتاج المستخدم للانتقال بين التطبيقات دون وجود إمكانية لتقسيم الشاشة وعرض أكثر من تطبيق.
المُحصّلة النهائية كانت تشغيل أكثر من 20 تطبيق أندرويد على كروم أو إس لكن النتيجة الأوّلية لم تكن مُرضية أبدًا، أعطت شعور أن الشركة ما زالت في بداياتها في هذا المجال على الرغم من الإعلان عنها قبل فترة طويلة.
أخيرًا، إذا كان قرار شراء حاسب كروم أو إس متوقّف على النظام فقط فلا داعي للقلق لأنه نظام خفيف وقوي في ذات الوقت. أما إذا كان قرار الشراء بسبب إمكانية تشغيل تطبيقات أندرويد، فالتجربة حتى الآن ليست مُستقرّة وبحاجة لمزيد من الوقت.
Google has revealed the possibility of running Android applications on computers operating system Chrome OS Chrome OS. This property has been in operation since February 2017.
Walt Mossberg experienced this feature when it was officially released, even before it was issued, because of its close relationship with the technical company officials and its long technical history.
The trial took place on Samsung's ChromeBook Plus computer, an ARM-processor computer used in most smartphones and tablet PCs, to run Android applications without any problems.
The main problem was that there was not a wide range of applications for this type of computer that came with large screens, 12 inches in the computer used for the experiment, which led to the appearance of strange, small at times, and magnified with bad accuracy at other times. Applications that support this feature are still few, so users will not be able to access all of their applications easily.
Müsberg tried to run two applications useless because of a system problem that led to automatic switching between applications without the possibility to install the screen on one application to use. Which was confirmed by one of Google's engineers in a telephone conversation with Mosberg himself, saying that this gap already exists and the company to work on it. In addition, many applications have stopped working or responding without understanding the cause.
The problem was, according to Mossberg, in the Google applications that supposedly supported this feature, but it was showing in a strange way. Here are the talk about Gmail-style apps like Gmail. Transforming a Samsung device used for a Tablet PC is possible, but in this case it is not possible to open more than one application at the same time, and the user needs to move between applications without the possibility to split the screen and display more than one application.
The final result was running more than 20 Android applications on Chrome OS but the initial result was never satisfactory, gave the feeling that the company is still in its infancy in this area, although it was announced long ago.
Finally, if the decision to purchase a Chrome OS is dependent on the system only, there is no need to worry because it is a light and powerful system at the same time. If the purchase decision is due to the possibility of running Android applications, the experience so far is not stable and need more time.
