كشفت قوقل منذ ثوان عن الأسم التجاري لنسخة أندرويد الجديدة القادمة .. أخيراً تم اعتماد الأسم الأكثر شعبية وطلباً حول العالم .. أندرويد أوريو Android Oreo للإصدار الرئيسي الثامن من أندرويد.
لا أعتقد أننا بحاجة للتعريف ببسكويت أوريو الشهير ولا بسياسة قوقل بتسمية نسخ أندرويد لأن الجميع يعرفها جيداً.
وبهذا فإن قوقل أعادت التعاون مع نستله بعد نسخة 4,4 التي جاءت بإسم كيت كات أيضاً البسكويت الشهير.
وسيتاح نظام أندرويد أوريو ضمن مشروع أندرويد مفتوح المصدر اليوم لتحصل عليه الشركات والمطورين وتقوم بإضافة تعديلاتها الخاصة قبل إطلاقها لهواتفها. وكالعادة ستكون هواتف بكسل أول من يحصل على نكهة بسكويت أوريو بالكريما.
كان المسرب الشهير صاحب حساب evleaks على تويتر قد أكد قبل بدء المؤتمر أنه سيحمل اسم أوريو .. مرة أخرى تصدق تسريباته.
