Google announces the suspension of Tango's enhanced reality project by March 2018
Google has officially announced that the Tangango Project for Enhanced Reality will be fully shut down by March 2018 to focus on the ARCore suite available for Android devices.
The Tango project began about three years ago by providing a software package and special hardware to scan and add components to the surrounding medium, allowing it to develop the ARCore package that benefits from a smart phone camera only and does not need special hardware to deliver enhanced reality technologies.
She thanked all the developers who contributed to the development of Tango and its own devices, stressing that the journey continues with the new package, which opens more prospects thanks to the widespread spread of the Android system.
أعلنت شركة قوقل وبشكل رسمي أن مشروع تانغو Project Tango للواقع المُعزّز سيتم إيقافه بشكل كامل مع حلول مارس/آذار 2018، وذلك للتركيز على حزمة ARCore المتوفّرة للأجهزة العاملة بنظام أندرويد.
وبدأت قوقل مشروع تانغو قبل ثلاثة أعوام تقريبًا عبر توفير حزمة برمجية وأجهزة خاصّة لمسح الوسط المُحيط وإضافة العناصر له، الأمر الذي سمح لها بتطوير حزمة ARCore التي تستفيد من كاميرا الهواتف الذكية فقط ولا تحتاج لأجهزة خاصّة لتقديم تقنيات الواقع المُعزّز.
وشكرت قوقل جميع المُطوّرين الذين ساهموا في تطوير تانغو وأجهزة خاصّة به، مؤكّدة أن الرحلة مُستمرّة مع الحزمة الجديدة التي تفتح آفاق أكبر بفضل الانتشار الكبير لنظام أندرويد.
