Facebook launches version of Messenger for children
بدأت شبكة فيسبوك الاجتماعية باختبار نسخة موجّهة للأطفال من تطبيق مسنجر Messenger Kids، وذلك على نطاق ضيّق في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية لمستخدمي نظام iOS، مع وعود بوصول النسخة لنظام أندرويد مع نهاية الشهر.
ولا يحتاج الطفل لامتلاك حساب في شبكة فيسبوك من أجل استخدام التطبيق. كما لا يحتاج كذلك لرقم هاتف لتفعيله، فكل شيء يتم عن طريق حساب الأهل، وهذا شرط أساسي للتحكّم بكل شيء.
ويقوم الأهالي أولًا بتحميل التطبيق على جهاز الطفل ثم تسجيل الدخول باستخدام حسابهم الشخصي من أجل منح الصلاحيات اللازمة وإنشاء حساب للطفل، حساب لتطبيق مسنجر فقط وليس على فيسبوك، حيث لن يظهر الاسم في نتائج البحث أبدًا. وبعد الانتهاء يُصبح التطبيق جاهز للاستخدام، لكن القرار النهائي في كل شيء يكون بيد الأهالي.
وعند الرغبة في إضافة صديق فإن الطفل لا يُمكنه القيام بهذه العملية بشكل يدوي، بل يحتاج أهله لإرسال طلب صداقة لأهل الطفل الثاني أولًا، لتظهر قائمة بأطفالهم. بعدها، يُمكن اختيار الطفل وإضافته لقائمة الأصدقاء، وبهذا الشكل يُمكن التحكّم بشكل كامل بالحساب. أما الكبار، كالأقارب، فإضافتهم تتم كذلك عن طريق أهل الطفل.
وستظهر الأسماء بحجم كبير داخل التطبيق، بحيث يُمكن للطفل إجراء مكالمات الفيديو أو المحادثات الكتابية بسهولة. كما تم تخصيص وجوه تعبيرية وصور مُتحرّكة خاصّة بالأطفال لاستخدامها داخل التطبيق. ومن أجل ذلك، استعانت فيسبوك بفريق عمل خاص داخل مقرّاتها، إضافة إلى الاستعانة ببعض الخُبراء على مستوى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية لتقديم تجربة استخدام مُلائمة للأطفال.
ويُمكن للطفل التبليغ عن الحسابات الموجودة لديه أو حذفها، وسيستلم الأهل تنبيه عند القيام بهذا الأمر لحماية الطفل قدر الإمكان ومنعه من التعرّض لتجربة سيئة. كما أكّدت الشركة أن التطبيق لن يعرض إعلانات أبدًا، وهذا يعني أن المحتوى داخل التطبيق مُخصّص فقط للأطفال ولا شيء غير ذلك.
وسيكون بمقدور الأطفال تبادل الصور والرسم عليها أيضًا. كما توفّر الشركة بعض الأدوات التعليمية البسيطة عبر الواقع المُعزّز وذلك بعد تشغيل الكاميرا. وقال Loren Cheng، المسؤول عن تطوير التطبيق، إن الهدف الرئيسي هو توفير وسيلة تواصل بين الأهالي وبين الأطفال مع تعليمهم طريقة التواصل مع البقيّة في العصر الحديث. وأضاف أن هذا يتم عبر تحكّم كامل من قبل الأهل، الأمر الذي سيجعل تطبيق مسنجر للأطفال خيارًا مُريحًا للأهالي بشكل عام.

Once finished, the application is ready for use, but the final decision in everything is in the hands of the parents.
When you want to add a friend, the child can not do this manually. His parents need to send a friend request to the second child's parents first, to show a list of their children. After that, the child can be selected and added to the Friends list, and in this way the account can be fully controlled. Adults, like relatives, are also added by the child's parents.
The names will appear large in the app, so the child can make video calls or conversations easily. Expression objects and animations for children were also allocated for in-app use. For this purpose, Facebook has used a special team within its headquarters, in addition to the use of some experts in the United States of America to provide a child-friendly experience.
The child may report or delete the accounts in his / her possession, and parents will receive an alert when doing so to protect the child as much as possible and prevent him from being subjected to a bad experience. The company also confirmed that the app will never show ads, meaning that in-app content is only for children and nothing else.
Children will also be able to share and draw pictures. The company also provides some simple educational tools through the enhanced reality after the operation of the camera. Loren Cheng, who is in charge of application development, said the main goal is to provide a means of communication between parents and children and teach them how to communicate with the rest in modern times. He added that this is done through full control by parents, which will make the application of Messenger for children a comfortable option for the people in general.
