Brooke Amelia Peterson, who filmed video for Evon X before his release, revealed in a YouTube video that her father had been fired to let her get footage.
Peterson's father was the radio frequency engineer at Apple. I photographed the iPhone X in Apple's cafeteria, in the open, but no one said anything. The video went viral and Apple asked her to remove it, but her father still lost his job.
In the original video, Peterson swipes through some of the new features of the iPhone X, including 3D expressive icons and a large screen.
Peterson said it was "an innocent mistake," adding that she was neither bitter nor angry nor her family. She hopes Apple will learn from the experience to tighten its policies and consistency to stick to it.
