Ransomware ransom is new in Europe, specifically in Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and Germany, Kaspersky reported in a new report.

The new attacks have been called Bad Rabbit, which has infected more than 200 computers so far and has emerged as a fake update for Adobe's Flash software. According to more than one security company including ESET, media systems in Russia and an airport in Ukraine were hit by the attacks.

After the device is infected, the user is transferred to a page where he is asked to pay a 0.05-bit coin, equivalent to more than $ 280 within 40 hours, otherwise the amount will be raised while keeping the files encrypted until the ransom is paid.

Kaspersky said it was unable to determine the credibility of the attacks so far, whether it was already encrypting the files or whether it was just a hoax to get the money.
